The Lara Croft Portrait is the wild symbol. It also offers the highest line payout of 7,500 coins when five symbols appear in an enabled payline. Other Lara croft symbols show her in different action poses. The wild symbol and some of the other Lara Croft symbols start paying when two appear from left to right on an enabled payline. The ornately crafted Excalibur Key scatter symbol offers scatter payouts when two or more appear anywhere on the reels. Three or more of these symbols appearing simultaneously activate the free spins round with Rolling Reels. During the free spins all winning symbols dissolve causing the affected reels to roll down and possibly generate further payouts. Each consecutive Rolling Reels win increases the payouts multiplier by one till it reaches x5. If there are no Rolling Reels wins the multiplier is reset. The free spins feature cannot be retriggered. Super Mode is a randomly triggered free spins feature. It awards five free spins. In these feature multiple wild symbols are randomly awarded and held fixed for the duration of the free spins.
Tomb Raider Secret of the Sword offers excellent thematic bonus games on the second screen. The entry level bonus game is the Global Adventure. If a passport symbol appears on the center position of a reel, then that reel is activated. When all five reels are activated the bonus game is triggered. There are five global locations each of which contains one fragment of the sword and the player has to choose one of them. The location displays six artifacts and again the player has to choose one of them. The chosen artifact would reveal one of the following. A bonus prize revealed is added to the player’s credit and the player gets another pick. If a bonus prize and the hidden treasure are revealed then the player chooses a block to reveal the treasure. The treasure may be another bonus, a x2 multiplier or entry into the Shoot Out Bonus. If a bonus prize and a sword fragment are revealed then the player chooses another location to search for the other sword fragments. If a trap is revealed the player can continue playing, but if he reveals another trap later then the game ends. If the player is able to locate all the sword fragments he wins a random bonus prize.
Tomb Raider Secret of the Sword is a Microgaming product and offers some excellent software features. An Auto Play feature is available in the Expert Mode. Players can avail of up to 500 spins without manual intervention at the same bet. The customization options allow the player to disable the audio options. However, given the audio visual nature of this slot game it is preferred to play with the audio enabled.
