Microgaming has signed a licensing agreement with Universal Brand Development for Jurassic World. This new online slot will more than likely arrive in casinos at some point around July, August or September 2016. This game will hopefully be just as exciting as the first instalment, Jurassic Park, which first arrived in casinos in August 2014.

The first instalment guaranteed Microgaming the ‘Digital Product of the Year’ award at last year’s Global Gaming Awards and we expect that the new Jurassic World slot will be just as ground-breaking. The Jurassic Park online slot machine was the first game of its kind to use Parallax Scrolling effects and it instantly became a huge hit with the players. You can enjoy playing on this game right now in the real money mode or in the free play mode at any of our featured Microgaming casinos, some of which include 32Red Casino, Casino Mate, Royal Vegas Casino, Roxy Palace Casino and All Slots Casino.

On February 1st, 2016, Microgaming also received the ‘Innovator of the Year’ award at the International Gaming Awards. This sought-after honor was handed to Microgaming for its VR Roulette game, which also helped secure Microgaming a similar award at the same night/event that they won an award for Jurassic Park back in September. Microgaming’s VR Roulette prototype was previewed this year February 2nd to 4th at the Microgaming CRYO lab at Excel London for this year’s ICE Totally Gaming exhibition.

Speaking about their latest achievements was the Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever. He said, “What a fantastic start to ICE and what a tremendous accolade for our Research and Development team. They are constantly thinking ahead and pushing the boundaries, and deserve praise for consistently producing pioneering solutions that are effectively shaping the future of online gaming.”

He then went on to say, “This award, the second of its kind in recent months, further cements our status as the creative force in our industry. It really is a fantastic achievement – well done to all involved!” Also on this same day, Tuesday 2nd February, Microgaming received an official Guinness World Records® certificate from a Guinness adjudicator. Microgaming received this certificate in recognition of the €17,879,645.12 progressive jackpot win that occurred in October 2015.

Guinness also handed Betway Casino and the winner, 26-year-old UK player Jonathon Heywood, with official Guinness World Records® certificates. “It was fantastic to welcome Jon to our stand at ICE for the official Guinness World Records certificate handover. Having spent some time with him today, I can honestly say it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy,” said the CEO. He then finished by saying, “We’re proud to share the world record and look forward to creating our next jackpot millionaire.”
